Meet the Doctor

Dr.  Mika Ishitani always knew she wanted to help people … that is why she became a Chiropractor.

Even as a young child living in Japan, she knew she wanted to help people live a healthy life and decided to become a Chiropractor.  After earning a degree in economics and business in Tokyo, Japan, she began researching Chiropractic colleges and this research led her to the most prestigious school of Chiropractic in the world … Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.  Dr. Mika (as her patients affectionately call her) moved to the United States to study Chiropractic. After four years of study she received her Doctorate degree from Palmer College.  For Dr. Mika this was her starting point. Now she could fulfill her mission … help restore people’s health without drugs or surgery.

In order to further her chiropractic skills, Dr. Mika moved to California and practiced in a large family and accident injury practice in the San Francisco area. This gave her the chance to help a large variety of patients who had been in automobile accidents, or injured on the job (Workers' Compensation), as well as patients suffering from headaches, neck pain and back pain.

She also focused on her real love … the care of children.  Dr. Mika is certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, one of the most honored children’s associations.

After her marriage, Dr Mika and her husband, Mauro, took a trip to the New England area.  After taking a wrong road, they ended up in Fort Lee by mistake. They both fell in love with Fort Lee and the people there.  In October 2005, Dr. Mika opened her Chiropractic practice at 1515 Palisades Avenue.  .

Dr. Mika believes that her mission is to teach people how to regain their health and to keep themselves healthy. That's why Dr Mika and her staff are always happy to answer their patient's questions about chiropractic and health.

Dr. Anna H. Lee

Prior to attending chiropractic college Dr. Anna Lee was a patient of a chiropractic clinic in Binghamton, New York.  She suffered from chronic back pain as a result of spinal curvature that occurred at an early age.  After the pain was diminished and she no longer suffered from chronic back pain, Dr. Lee decided to become a chiropractic practitioner herself.  She wanted to work in a field that promotes and encourages the healing of the body through natural methods.

After graduating from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Lee moved to New York City and practiced in Queens and Manhattan, for three years.  She treated a diverse group of patients with minor and major work or auto related injuries, as well as patients diagnosed with back pain, neck pain and headaches.

Dr. Lee was accepted into the prestigious chiropractic radiology residency program at the New York Chiropractic College located in Seneca Falls, New York.  She completed her radiology residency and earned her Master’s of Science degree in diagnostic imaging and taught at the College for the next five years.  Throughout her residency at the New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Lee was honored with medical radiology rotations at the Ithaca MRI Center, F.F. Thompsom Hospital, Seoul University Hospital, and the Finger Lakes Bone and Joint Orthopedic Center.

After earning her Master’s degree, Dr. Lee joined Ishitani Chiropractic in Fort Lee, New Jersey practicing with Dr. Mika Ishitani.  She specializes in the relief of muscle spasms, trigger points, back pain and neck pain.
